That may indicate you are already using iCloud for your database?

      "In settings it says..."

I do not know what you mean here. "Settings"?

      "...it is in ~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~Clouddocs/Reunion."

It almost looks like Reunion the application is in the iCloud folder, but if it isn't (generally the application should be in the Applications Folder) then maybe that says that there is a folder named Reunion in the iCloud folder which is just for Reunion documents. In any event, I wouldn't muck around in the library file system too much. That is mostly for the System software to use.

Try looking for your Reunion family document in the iCloud folder which should be in the left side bar listing. (Click on the iCloud folder to see what is in it.)

If your family document is not there, then try to find it like this: Open Spotlight (click on the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner of the screen OR Command-spacebar). Type in the name of the family file (or part of it) and see if it finds where it is. If Spotlight finds it, it will show in the left hand column of the Spotlight window. Drag the icon to your desktop OR drag it to the iCloud folder.

You could...or you could put today's date in the title and keep it as a spare until you are absolutely sure that iCloud is working for all your devices. But if you are going to work in the file, use the copy that is in the iCloud folder. And of course, when you modify that copy it will be different from the spare one that you dated. BTW, both copies will be on your hard drive, but the one in the iCloud folder will be synced with the copies on your other devices. The other one won't be.
