Deb (Reunion Support) and I have been discussing this but really haven’t been able to come up with a solution, so I thought I’d throw this in front of the experts here:
Scrolling in - and ONLY in - the Person sidebar is difficult. Using the scroll bar on the far right side of the Person List simply does not work. That almost instantly brings up the spinning beachball. Scrolling the list itself using the wheel on my mouse sometimes works smoothly but maybe half the time it will stop and show the spinning beachball for (maybe) 2-4 seconds before moving on again. Searching for a specific person is also “iffy”. Sometimes it searches quickly and efficiently and at other times the spinning beachball comes up, while Reunion thinks about it.
“Identify Relationships on the Fly” can be turned on or off, it doesn’t make any difference. I also have a M2MacBook Air (I use the built-in trackpad but generally speaking, I do not like trackpads) and this does not happen at all on that device. I have done “Rebuild Cache Files” several times and that doesn’t help either.
This ONLY happens with the Person sidebar. I can search or scroll with no problem whatsoever in the Sources, Media, Places or any of the other sidebars.
To me (very untechnical), this has to be a Reunion problem since it only affects the one sidebar. Not sure if anyone else has ever experienced a similar issue, but I’m sure willing to hear any suggestions. Thanks.
