    How are you using Connections?

Being a new user to Reunion, I've only just started dabbling with the connections feature. I added a couple of godparents that were already in my tree, and then I thought I would try adding a couple of DNA matches to a new notes list. I quickly realized that wasn't going to work as I could potentially have hundreds, if not thousands of DNA matches.

So my question is, what type of connections are you using and where are you entering them? Examples would be great. I'm not even sure where to add these connections other than in notes.

I use connections in my note fields. Most link to distant relatives mentioned in my Biography or Research fields:

    > "When I joined the company it was still in the family of the founder's grandson David who was my 9th cousin and David's wife Rosamond who was my 10th cousin."

    > "Of the three Stephen Kelloggs in the war who were distant cousins, there are NARA files for Stephen son of Epenetus and Stephen son of Stephen but none for our Stephen."

and in unproven or disproven reports saved in my Leads field:

    > "There is speculation but no evidence yet that his father was Nathaniel Clark of Lyme, CT."

    > "This next record attributed to Mary A. Phillips actually belongs to her second cousin Mary J. Phillips, both born in Kittery three days apart."

but I have occasionally linked to islands of unrelated people who were very important to the family history.

Thank you. I like the idea of inserting them into my research notes.
