Tree view shows divorced couples as still married

I have searched manual and forum for solution to this but the suggested methods do not work. EG this one https://www.reuniontalk.com/forum/us...1730#post91730. I have also searched "Marital Status" in the manual as suggested in another thread. My particular requirement is that in the tree view (hourglass) a divorced couple do appear to be still together, but there is line in the box saying "Div" as in the post linked above.

Can anyone help?

The tree view does not include divorce data and the only free text fields are places, so if you really need to show a divorce it might have to be manually appended to the couple's marriage place (examples below).

To be clear, do this in Edit Family where you enter the couple's marriage information. The tree view is an overview/navigation tool with very few display options and no direct editing. Even if it supported editing you would lose the edits whenever a box was clicked to change the starting person and the tree was redrawn. A chart is the better choice for controlling the layout.
