How to get a list of ALL events in my data base

I posted this once before as a comment on someone else's post. I would like to know what ALL of my ancestors were doing on a particular day, even if they weren't related to each other at the time. How can I do that? Is there a way to export the entire Reunion database to a spreadsheet? My database has a little less than 7,000 people in it.

You can export data from your Family File by choosing File > Export > Text. Select the fields you want to export and choose whichever field separator you find easiest to import into your spreadsheet application.

As far as built-in event reporting, I am only aware of two options. If the "particular day" is specific date (or range of dates) including the year then you can use Lists > Events and select "With Dates Within a Range". If the year is not important then you have the option of the Reminders sidebar that shows the anniversaries of multiple events for people and couples in a consolidated chronological list. Its settings are far too limited, however - it cannot filter for marked people and will only look forward starting today for a maximum span of 14 days.

Both Lists > Events and Reminders can be exported to a spreadsheet. Remember to hold the Option key when clicking the Share button to save a tab delimited Plain Text File (.txt) instead of the default rich text formatted Text File (.rtf).

Perhaps I have misunderstood the meaning of "a particular day". If you want to retrieve everything regardless of who, what, and when then use Lists > Events set for "All People", "Events With or Without Places", "With Date of Any Kind", and "All Events".

Thank you, A Ginn. I think this worked. I did the Lists>Events method you suggested. It looks like I still need to do some tinkering. I would really like this to be in Excel and have the dates function as real dates. I'll look at it again tomorrow. Thanks again.
