What strategy would you use to make a gedcom that had ALL people associated with just my maternal side (relatives, siblings, spouses, everything).

Marking records for a specific gedcom

Unfortunately, "All Relatives" includes the spouse and their relatives, so the above does not create the proper marked set. It includes the paternal line too.
What may work is:
1. Temporarily move the father to the clipboard, this breaks the spousal link.
2. Recalculate relatives, using the mother as the source person.
3. Do the mark "All Relatives" of the mother.
4. Export the marked records to a GEDCOM

dfilpus is right, but instead of choosing "All Relatives..." choose "Blood Relatives..." with "Mark Spouses". That seems to work when I tried it. Of course, if you also want to include people in the family from other marriages NOT in the blood line, then it gets trickier and you may have to use his method, but even that may not get everyone you want.Originally posted by dfilpus View PostUnfortunately, "All Relatives" includes the spouse and their relatives...

Is this still the resolution if using Reunion 14? It just seems odd that you would have to have this workaround of moving someone to the clipboard to generate the appropriate GEDCOM.Originally posted by dfilpus View PostUnfortunately, "All Relatives" includes the spouse and their relatives, so the above does not create the proper marked set. Most likely you do not need to break the spousal link with the Clipboard to do this.
Go to the family view for the father and mother and open the Mark panel - for Who choose "Everyone linked to..." and then select the mother. This will mark everyone linked to the mother (ancestors and descendants) and also mark the father - however, none of the father's ancestors will be marked.Gregg Witmer
