I have a Fact field"Qvic". A comma has been used between two words (most records) that I want removed. I see no option to select the field to perform this task. Is there a method for doing this?

Of course, make a copy of your entire File before doing a Find and Replace.
That said:
After reading the manual, it seems that selecting Facts is as narrow as you can get in the search. Be as specific as you can with your search criteria to change only the ones in the individual field "Vic". After doing the Find and Replace, check as many of the changes as you can until you are satisfied.
That's all I have. Maybe someone else has a better way.

But that seems to be the problem, I cannot tell "Find and Replace" to only show Vic! It's been problem since I started with Reunion 9 but suggestions are seldom implemented that I've seen. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a preview that could be accepted/rejected but there's only a Replace All.
Can't even export and fix external then import because they'd all import as duplicates. That would be as much of a nightmare. (Yes, I know find duplicates exist)--------------

Thinking of your question/remark: taking a 'double step' could help, but only if the other fact fields from the 'affected’ person has no comma in the text of a Fact field.
First question: are the characters just before and after the comma the same in each Fact field, ex.
- John Fact Qvic …. memory, gone ….
- Maria Fact Qvic …. memory, gone ….
Advanced Find:
- Criteria Qvic is (not empty) leaving the field empty AND
Qvic contains , (the comma you want remove) or
Qvic contains memory, gone
Now you can look at the Results List (where you can change manual) and look if the characters before and after the comma
Mark all those persons
In Find & Replace you can choose: Only marked persons
Again, this works only if no other Fact Field of the Marked persons contain , (comma)
Might be there are the same preceding character just before the comma (as you can see in the Result), then you had to repeat the procedure several times, it can be time consuming but quicker than manual changing of each in the Result List.
Just give it a try (on a copy)
