Share/export to Numbers or csv file?

It is quite possible that this feature is already there, and that I have just missed it. While I very much like the lists in Reunion, I sometimes would like to do more manipulation with the data (e.g. sort, filter, add other fields). For example, I am able to export the places list to a nice report in Pages. I can also share it to a text file and, with some maneuvering and lots of editing, get it into a spreadsheet (Numbers). Is there a better way? If not currently, could a share to csv file be considered as an additional feature in the future?

Yes. On the left-side panel, click LISTS > Places to open all your places in a separate window. You can do some basic adjustments in Reunion (such as reversing the sort order). Use the 'share' button at the bottom of the window to create a TXT file that you can open in a word processor or spreadsheet.

Thanks for responding. Yes, I was already using the "share" button to export it to a text file.

It is getting it correctly into the spreadsheet that I find tricky. I tried several strategies today. Converting to plain text and then dragging that file to Numbers application (two finder windows) seemed to give me the best result. At least it is not all in one column now! The places are in one column and the usage notes in another column, separate rows for each event.

Thanks to suggestions from Arnold Palmer, I had success with a spreadsheet of Treetop ancestors. The Places list did not want to cooperate as well.

I assume your sources are delimited by commas such as Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina, United States

If you change file extension to .CSV you can import the data into a spreadsheet with each field going into a separate column.
