    Gibberish appearing in Event Memo

I am seeing some gibberish (for want of a better description) in the event memo fields while viewing the Edit Person screen. It does not appear in every memo field, but enough that it's not acceptable. Please see the attached screenshot.

    Hi Kathy,

    Well, that's pretty strange!

Try resizing a column in the list, and also try resizing the window to see if the screen/window refreshes to normal.

Either way, we'll probably need to see the family file here, so we can figure out what might be causing such a strange cosmetic issue.

Instructions for sending the file to us are here...

      Hi Frank

Thank you for the prompt reply. I tried resizing columns, the window, and even going to full screen ..... no joy. So, I will send my file to you. Oh, I converted another family file to version 12 and the same thing happens. Also, I did notice when I tried to convert the second file to version 12, nothing happened. It allowed me to choose the file and to rename it with the version 12 name, clicked convert ....... nothing happened. Tried that twice. So, then I closed my main file that had been open and the new conversion worked as expected. Is this normal?

I just found the same thing although it's not as bad as Kathy C.'s. Here is my screenshot. I can send my file if you like. Judy

          Hi Judy,
No need to send a family file.
          We just discovered the problem.
It's related to the use of multiple-line memo fields; i.e., memo fields that contain <return> characters.
Looks weird; but your data is OK.
          It'll be resolved very soon.
          Thanks Judy (and Kathy).

Re: Gibberish appearing in Event Memo

We uploaded a new build of version 12 that takes care of this problem.

Note: Occasionally we may issue a new "build" of Reunion with minor changes. When we do this, the version number doesn't change (it still says 12.0.0); however, the build number changes.

To check your build number (after downloading and opening the new app), choose Reunion > About Reunion from the menu bar. Then look under the "Reunion for Macintosh" text. It'll say "build:71129"

                The download link is here.

Thank you so much! That build, of course, fixed those issues making my data now much nicer to look at.
