Adding Ancestry sources to GEDCOMs with URLs for Reunion Web Project pages

There is a thread from 2018-2019:

Uploading GED file to other websites (or not!)

where Reunion users describe how they upload GEDCOMs to Ancestry.

Reunion is the primary way I manage my genealogy information. I do use Ancestry, but primarily for AncestryDNA matching, so I occasionally generate a GEDCOM from Reunion and upload the GEDCOM to Ancestry similar to what other Reunion users are doing.

However, I now post-process the GEDCOM generated by Reunion before I upload the GEDCOM to Ancestry. The post-processing adds a Web link for each individual which points to that individual's page in my Web Project generated by Reunion. I also add Web links for Find a Grave and FamilySearch references.

I accomplish this with a Python 3 script that I've significantly updated since the 2020 version.

I have been using this updated script for several months, but I have not had any other Reunion users try it out, so consider this an Alpha test of the script (version 20231227). If anybody is interested in trying out this updated script, just send me email.
