Are photos imbedded in family file when sharing or do I need to send a separate file as well?

If you're syncing to ReunionTouch, you do not need to send a separate file. The family file does not include the original images, but it does include thumbnails that are generated for use in ReunionTouch, as well as some places in the Reunion application on your Mac. Note that you can change the settings for these thumbnails via:
Reunion -> Preferences... , Multimedia, Rebuild Thumbnails...
There you'll find options to increase/decrease the size and quality of the images.

Can the family members who receive the file, also rebuild thumbnails? Also what is the difference between copying and linking when sending the file to relatives?Comment

Another question. When I tried using the link method there was a choice of them viewing or editing. I definitely don't won't them to be able to get into my Reunion file and editing my file but it would be nice for them to edit their own file.Comment
