ReunionTouch is sharing, but does not sync

I am unable to get Reunion 14 on my MacBook Pro to sync with ReunionTouch 1.0.21 on my iPhone. Both are the latest updates. ReunionTouch says it is sharing and my entire family file shows up on my iPhone including the images. However, the Sharing Status on Reunion on my MacBook Pro states "This file is not being shared" and does not sync to my iPhone. I followed some of the solutions shared on this forum. I reset sharing and now the button is grey and will not let me use it. I do have two Apple IDs but both the Mac and the iPhone are signed into the same e-mail. iCloud on my Mac and on the iPhone both show Reunion in iCloud drive. This all happened after I moved my family file from Dropbox to iCloud. In Dropbox the two devices synced perfectly. I prefer to use iCloud as my file is large enough that I have to pay for Dropbox along with my iCloud account. Any help will be appreciated.

But are both devices signed in to the same Apple ID? Check Settings > Your Name on both devices. What email you are in is not part of this problem.

Same ID on both. However, since posting this problem, I have discovered that the iCloud Media and Purchases setting are using a different Apple ID. I also discovered that recently Apple now allows me to merge all my purchases into one Apple ID (now Apple Account). However, the merge setting does not show up on my phone or laptop or when signed into either of my Apple IDs. I have to solve that problem before trying to solve the ReunionTouch sync problem!

So now I am really confused and feel like I am going in circles. Yes, I do have 2 Apple ID accounts. Although my iPhone and computer are signed into the same iCloud account, the Media and Purchases setting on both include both Apple ID accounts. Initially my ReunionTouch app was purchased under the old Apple ID and worked perfectly with my Dropbox account. When I switched to iCloud my problems began. I had trouble getting my ReunionTouch to share with my computer, so I thought it might be a problem with the two Apple accounts. I re-purchased a new ReunionTouch under my newer primary Apple iCloud Account. That did not solve my problem. While researching this problem, I discovered that it is now possible to migrate my old Apple account into my new primary Apple iCloud account. Hurray, I said. This might solve my problem. No, apparently I am one of the 20% that can't migrate because once upon a time I purchased, then canceled, an Apple Music account. So currently that is not an option for me. I considered unlinking my old Apple account from my phone, but then I can't use any of my many purchases for 90 days until I can re-link. I guess my question is, how do I get my ReunionTouch app to share and sync with the same Apple account as my iCloud subscription (since apparently at the moment it is looking for the old ReunionTouch.) Ironically, my family history file is, at the moment, completely loaded in ReunionTouch, but won't sync. Any advice/help would be appreciated!
