Issue using Reunion Touch with Reunion 13.0

    Hello,

I've noticed on Reunion Touch, I have at least one entry for a person that shows me no media. On my Mac, all the photos are there, but none are on my phone. I have several thousand people in my tree, so can't check everyone, but this one definitely is an issue.

I've tried resetting sharing, which gives me the popup saying it will download images in the background, but they never show up. I've also tried adding a as if the family member simply has no images.

I've also tried adding an image from my photos library on my iPhone, and it doesn't show up either - however it DOES show up on my Mac.

Any ideas? I am running an 18.5 beta on my phone, but other images seem to be working, so I doubt if that's the issue. It also happens on my iPad, but the iPad shows a silhouette of a head where an image would be.

    Thanks

It sounds like the issue may stem from how Reunion handles media syncing between your Mac and ReunionTouch. Even though the photos appear correctly on your Mac, they may not be properly linked or formatted for mobile sync. First, ensure “Sync media files” is enabled in ReunionTouch settings and try toggling it off and on again. On your Mac, check under Preferences > Multimedia to confirm that the images are correctly linked and not missing; also run a media check via Multimedia > Check Media Files. If you're syncing through Dropbox, try re-uploading the family file and deleting/redownloading it in ReunionTouch to force a full sync. Additionally, be aware that very large images or those in HEIC format (common from iPhones) may not display properly—try converting them to JPEG and re-adding them. While iOS 18.5 beta may introduce subtle issues, the fact that other images work suggests this is more likely a syncing or file issue. If nothing works, contacting Leister support would be the next best step.

      Thanks. I’ll try those things.
Other observations - I have a second iPad that shows the same person just fine (also on same beta OS), with the images intact. Also, images are missing from both my phone and my main iPad. They’re exist ok on my Mac, and if opened, do not report anything missing.
These are photos that have been there for a while, so not new ones, and not HEIC.

      Cheers

Actually, before anything, I tried something more basic. I deleted the file on the two offending devices, and downloaded again. The thumbnails appeared.

It still doesn’t tell me what happened though - and why exactly the same images were missing on the two devices, but not the third.

        But it’s fixed!
