Chart frame won't shrink to match the amount of content, too much blank space

I have a very large chart that started as an Ancestor file, I think, but to which I've manually added hundreds of boxes. As it's grown the frames have adjusted to the amount of content, but now the ones on the right and bottom no longer do so. If I move another box past either one, the frames move, but retracting the box doesn't result in the frames shrinking back accordingly. The chart is now so large that I have a lot of blank space I'd like to get rid of. I've searched these forums and the manual but can't find any relevant information. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be much appreciated.

You could try getting rid of the frame, then re-installing it.

With the chart window selected go Edit > Chart Frame Settings... > click Border tab > uncheck Display Chart Border....
Then recheck the Display Chart Border...

Maybe the re-installation of the border will fit it to the chart better.

Thanks, but I tried that a couple of times, without success. I'll have to do further investigation, but I have another very large chart that seems to have the same problem, but doesn't leave as much free space so maybe the first one has a more serious issue than just the frame.

Another thing that I thought of. Over the space on the bottom and the right, draw a selection rectangle to see if there isn't an object that is invisible to you but that the chart knows is there. Sort of like a space in text that you can't see but causes formatting problems.

Genius!!! Thank you so so much, that was the problem. There was this weird 4 arrow character that was invisible until I selected the whole area, deleting the space got rid of the blank space. It never occurred to me that might be the answer. Appreciate the Help!
