Couples photo only; Clip out individuals?

Is there a more elegant approach? I imagine many family photos from three generations back could be afforded only for group shots, either Couples or entire families. for many of my ancestors, that is the only image I have of them. Is there a more elegant approach to reports than clipping out individuals from the one photo?

What you have looks pretty good. What do you mean by a "more elegant approach"?

William probably means cropping. Just link the two person photo to one of the two people. Use the crop tool at the bottom and draw a rectangle around the person you want. The click the Apply button in the lower right. Note: this doesn't actually crop the photo. It's making a display mask for you. The rest of the photo is still there.....outside of the mask. (In the manual, in the section titled "The Media Window," look at the sub-subject Working with Group Photos for a bit more information.)
