I am member of a genealogy society that uses Zoom to present Reunion. I am using Reunion 14 and I am having problems displaying Reunion to it members. When I open Reunion and display the main menu there are no problems until I open lists or family members within the main menu. Other menus when I open them from the main menu do not display on the screen. The only menu that Zoom display is the main menu. Any ideas that I can use to display lists or drop menus from the main menu? Thank.

Open the Zoom app and go to Settings then to Share Screen. There are several settings for you to choose from, I don't know your specifics but you should be able to figure out what works for your situation.Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991

The cleanest, easiest, and likely first-choice approach to use an app with Zoom is to share a view only of the active application. This approach avoids showing viewers your entire desktop. The approach is most useful for example when you want to scroll through pages in a document or file with no intent to show menu actions. The disadvantages are that you loose an ability to show menus for the app and, if you select something outside that app during the Zoom, you likely get an error message that sharing is no longer active. The second approach takes almost an opposing stand - it shares your entire desktop. The advantage is, you can show (almost) any and all actions that involve menu selections in the Finder or in the application itself. The downside is that users see your entire desktop. So, in this approach, you do well to a) set a neutral (no picture) background and b) clean up all clutter on your desktop. Zoom has a range of intermediate approaches. The one additional choice that may be useful is to share only a portion of your screen. This setting is typically under an Advanced menu option (I don't have Zoom opened directly ... working off memory here). The one advantage to this advanced approach is that you can use the portion of the screen as a dynamic location, bringing in various views ... for example showing a picture in Preview and then showing a document from Pages and then showing a spreadsheet from Numbers ... without getting an error message that screen sharing is no longer active.
In summary, for what you appear to want to do: Clean up your desktop and set a neutral color background. Use full screen sharing mode. Your menu actions should show up to the viewers.
Hope this info is useful.

A quick way: Hover over the green button in the upper left of the window. From the popup menu that appears, choose full screen. Result is that Reunion fills up the entire screen, thus hiding your desktop clutter. To return the window to its original size, hover the green button again and choose Exit Full Screen.Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991

After researching the solution to the above mentioned problem I found the answer on YouTube titled: "Zoom: Share All Windows from one Application". Open Zoom and select Settings. Scroll down to Share Screen and select Share Applications and select Share all windows from an application. (See attached image) This was tested when I did a live presentation of Reunion at our last meeting. Worked flawlessly.Originally posted by lesc View PostI am member of a genealogy society that uses Zoom to present Reunion.
