I'm still getting used to Reunion and I was wondering on how to organize media. A single Media folder? Or a Media folder with subfolders by family name? Does Reunion really care where media is stored?
Media Folder?

I keep all media in one folder as adding sub and sub sub folders just adds a ton on confusion and complication.
I do not like where Reunion scatters files & folders in many places. I put all of them in the Reunion folder in Applications except family files, which, in my case, go into Dropbox folder.
(I keep alias's of family files in dock and alias of media folder on desktop.)Last edited by SGilbert; 20 February 2026, 03:39 PM.rMBP, 15", 2.8GHz i7, 16G RAM, Reunion 12.0, iPhone 12 Pro Max, ReunionTouch

First rule is to set up a system that is logical and comfortable for yourself.. That works best in the long run.
In my case, except for the head shots that I display on the family screen, I have a folder named Families within the Reunion Files folder with each family having its own folder. A consistent file naming habit is also helpful. By naming files as LastName_FirstName.....all items for a given name sort together making finding pretty fast.. (My full format is LastName_FirstName_Year_DocumentDescription; example is Doe_John_1942_DraftReg for a copy of John's draft registration in 1942.) (All of my headshots are in the Reunion Pictures folder and named in the same way.)Bob White, Mac Nut Since 1985, Reunion Nut Since 1991
