Import a field (DNA), and Live vs. Not Alive

I'm finding that I'd like to formalize my DNA matches better. I created 2 flags (DNA Match, Inferred DNA Match) so I can get the data easily. I created a fact field called DNA so that I can add freeform info, but I'd really like this to be better organized. What have you done that you think is a good solution? I'm thinking of creating a fact fields for MCRA (most common recent ancestor), cM, cluster, and testing service. I have this info in a spreadsheet. Is there a way to up load this into the Reunion field if I add say a Reunion Person ID?

Also can someone verify that there is no dead or alive desigation in Reunion (it is just an inference)? If there is how do I find it?

Thanks much and happy new year!

On your 2nd subject, I think - correct me if I am wrong - that when there is no death date, Reunion assumes the subject is living, even when he has a birth or marriage date of 2 centuries ago. It would be nice to have a way to correct that.

There is a setting in Reunion Settings that controls who is "Private" and what to do with their information

Reunion assigns each person a Living Yes/No attribute (Attributes > Living).

If there is a Death event with a date or place, the person is considered not living. The same is true for a Burial event with a date or place but not for a Cremation event. Entries in Memos fields don't count.

If there is a birth date but no Death or Burial event, then the person is considered living unless his/her age exceeds the "living age" specified in Reunion > Settings > Dates > Feasibility Checking. People with neither a birth date nor a Death or Burial event are considered living. I think the living age function would be more versatile if, instead of relying on a birth date, the earliest of all the person's event dates started the clock. That way people without a birth date who were baptized, married, etc. centuries ago would finally be dropped from the Living list. You can search for them and mark/unmark in an Advanced Find with Events > Any Date > Before 1925, for example.

You may find that the only way to manage the Living status for some cases is to include a custom flag.

And I verified that after putting a ? in the death date field, Reunion removes a person from the "living" list (advanced find, attribute, living).
