Map this person bug

The “Map This Person” feature appears to have a bug because when I map my father’s events, does not show one residence, that documents his stay at MIT, Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1950. That event is properly entered in his list of events (shown in blue). However, that reference does not appear on the map! (See the enclosed screenshots.)

Please explain what went wrong, and if this really is a bug, it should be fixed in time for the next update for v14 release. Map all.png Event list.png

I see a similar issue with some of my people. Either a place is not acknowledged on the map or the line joining two places is missing.

It turns out that the “Map This Person” events must be gps coded in order to have the event pinned on the map.

What I thought was a bug, was in reality an oversight on my part. After geo coding the missing location, the event was correctly mapped.

and I had the incorrect geo codes assigned to some of my locations. oops.
