I would like to have the normal print out giving the default information on an ancestor like name, marriage, spous, burial etc. I would like to add a short passage about this person. I do not want to use my notes section since that contains several pages of data like censes, from courthouse records etc Is there a way to accomplish this with Reunion 14?

The "Notes section" for a person or family can contain multiple note fields, so your free form information can be as granular as you want (e.g., Research, Biography, Caption, Heirlooms, Memories, etc.). Each note field can be selected separately when defining a report layout. In the manual: Adding Note Fields to a Person's Record.
