If I enter criteria in Find and it finds results, the Sidebar moves from People to Results. Do I have to return to People before performing another Find or does it search all records?

You don't have to go back to the People sidebar before doing another Advanced Find.
Advanced Finds always search the entire family file regardless of what is displayed in the sidebar.Gregg Witmer
