Children greyed out in drop-downs and one doesn't appear in Register report

In Family View, for each person there is a drop-down button to see spouses and children, shaped like an up-side down caret.

For some people in my Reunion file, the names of children are grey in colour instead of black. What does that mean ?

Also, there is a discrepancy between the Family History Report and the Register Report. The detail of one child appears in the Family History Report but does not appear in the Register. The Register only shows the summary information for the child. Why would that happen ?

In the Report > Register panel, click on the Layout menu button and select Define Layouts from the menu,

Under Settings, select "Miscellaneous" and then check "Number people without children."

Then create the Register report again.
