lost Reunion!, at least on screen

I updated my commuter OP system last evening to Venture 13.7.5 now my Reunion 14 will not open as usual. The icon shows in the app folder and on the Dock but going to the Reunion drop down menu and selected open previous file and selecting Reunion 14 I get nothing. In the Reunion folder I do see a Reunion 14 ged. file; is that automatically updated with data as I use the app as usual? I hate to lose it since I have I think over 338,00 names! Any advice?

I checked and I have to separate I am working with, either one opens .

Edit: It may be more than an only problem with the update. As I rewrite this I tried to see if Reunion 14 would open on my laptop , it did not at first and said I had two versions open on this computer so selected the newest one it looks like is rebuilding and updating the file. So it apparently is only on the iMac the problem exists.

Okay, it finally opened okay on the laptop. Usable , but a bit awkward to use two computers to gain data from one computer - obituaries and genealogy files- and enter on another.

You need not open the app, and you can delete a .ged file if you've already used it.
The file you want to open AND should be in the dock, is your 'database' or 'tree' that ends in: .familyfile14
Every thing else can reside in your Reunion folder or wherever Reunion decides it belongs.

What I have on my iMac screen in the dock is the Reunion 14 icon, as usual. Once I select that it takes me to the Reunion 14 Files Box that shows a "unnamed ged.file, a Charles George Family Line, familyfile14 ,(which does open_.File , George Family Line ,ged., Joel Leckron Genealogy13.Copy 29,Joel Leckron Genealogy 14.ged, JoelLeckron Genealogy.ged, a Reports folder(empty), and Spriggs/Doleman Copy 29 Jan 29, and Spriggs/Doleman Family File 13, and a Spriggs/Doleman.ged.

The Spriggs/Doleman files were merged with my Leckron Family file site I found connected people. I thought these had been deleted.

When I go select ther dock icon Reunion and get rid of the box date shown above the Drop down File under Reunion it does not show Reunion 14.

I usually just use the Dock Icon, go to the dropdown menu and select Reunion14.

Can I go to Reunion14 on my laptop, which works as usual and Export that file and Import it to my iMac? It has a bigger screen which makes it easier to work with. Hate to try things if am not sure.

Is your family file in Dropbox? If so, see this page…

Thank, hadn't thought of checking there. Once I figured which icon was Dropbox I saw a few entries so I clicked on the newest one, said update 8 hours ago which was when I worked on the laptop.I had to switch from use on the other to this one; the one I normally use. It did its updatd then opened with all entries where I left off last night on the laptop.

I would not have thought of looking at Dropbox, it is a wonder it did not show there when I searched the copmuter for Reunion 14.Looksloikeitas back okay,Thank you a lot.
