Is there an engaged 'status' in Reunion? If not, is there a way that I can create / add it into to my Reunion app? I thought that I saw it, but I cannot find it again.

Short answer, no and no.
Long answer is that Reunion, and Genealogy in general, consider marriage as the start or beginning of a family. An engagement is not marriage, nor is it a status of a marriage that no longer exists by Divorce, Separation, or Annulment. Even the GEDCOM Standard treats marriage as a special event and only allows the statuses mentioned. If ever implemented, GEDCOM 7 will open up the definition of marriage to be broadened. For example there will be no assumption that one is male and one female. There may not even be a restriction that marriage is between only two people. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
For myself, an engagement does not automatically admit someone into the family, and I don't add them until they are pronounced a couple and the paperwork is signed.
You could easily make a new Fact named "Engagement" then put supporting details in it's text line like, a wedding date, etc.

You can create a custom event in the family tab for this "couple" if you want to to show when they got engaged.
Put the two people on each side of a family card, and then click on the button in the middle, go to the 4th tab for Events and create and assign an Engaged event.
It's your file - don't let the "conventions" that other people stick to govern how you record your family.

Good point Roger. In my system there already is an Engagement event in the marriage Events listed in the "Add event..." list that pops up when you click that button.Originally posted by theKiwi View PostPut the two people on each side of a family card, and then click on the button in the middle, go to the 4th tab for Events and create and assign an Engaged event.
