I don't think LOGs are owned by any one person. They stand apart from Individual and Family data, sort of like a pen and paper notebook that you might have for keeping track of other things during your research. Are you referring to a person's Notes rather than LOG?

You can import a text file.

I don't think you can attach a document to Notes like you would attach a document to an email. But you can import text or write whatever you want. And for any person you can make multiple Notes panels and give the panels other names.

If the text is really long you may want to make the document a source, then summarize the text of the document in the Notes adding the citation number of the source to it.
