Have you quit all open apps & done a restart, and then tried opening Reunion?

Is your family file stored in iCloud Drive?

I have the same problem and the family file is stored in iCloud Drive

and I try a local family file with the same result

I have an M1 MacBook Air and an M3 iMac both on the latest version of Sonoma with my family file on iCloud drive and have not experienced any such problems. I will say that syncing with Reunion Touch with the family file in iCloud generally requires deleting the file in Reunion Touch each time I make any changes to the family file for syncing to occur. Dropbox syncing was more reliable but the 3 device limit was a royal pain.

Something worth trying: I had some sporadic syncing failures early on. Leister added to Touch the creation of a folder on your iCloud named ReunionTouch Family Sharing. I do not share with anyone. BUT, since the family file moved into that folder, I have not had any syncing failures. Since I have six Apple devices, I was thrilled to leave Dropbox behind.

I left Reunion running the night with the color spinning wheel and this morning the small local drive family file was open and after I try to reload my principipal family file on iCloud drive and only after a few seconds the file open.
I quit Reunion 13 and retry and no problem.
