Unable to add picture to family sheet

I am using Reunion 13 and for some reason on a couple of family sheets I am unable to add a picture. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I am using the current version of Reunion, along with Monterey OS version 12.6.1

Perhaps you are doing nothing wrong. However, it may be helpful to have the answers to a few more questions...

1. Where is your family file located on your Mac?
2. Where is the picture you want add located on your Mac?
3. Is the problem only with one picture? If so, what is the file format of that picture?

Please let me know and we'll go from there.

I am not sure how to file where my family files are located? My Reunion pictures are located here: Home>pictures>reunion pictures. The pictures are all jpg. I have added a number of pictures to Reunion, and only have a problem every once in awhile.

To find out where your family files are located, open one of them, just as you normally would. Then, choose File -> Get Info. Next, in that information window, look for "File Location" along the left. The path to your family file is shown to the right of File Location.

Both the family file and the pictures are in the default locations. By any chance, do any of your pictures have a cloud icon beside them when viewed in the Finder?

No, no clouds. I have my Reunion pictures here Home>Pictures>Reunion Pictures.

The next time you run into this same problem, please check the following...

Open Multimedia sidebar on the right or the Media window for that person and look for that picture. It you see it in the Multimedia sidebar or Media window, Control-click on it (or right-click on it) and verify that "Preferred picture" is checked. (If Preferred picture is not checked, select it or check it.)
