I can't seem to find out how to set up a birthday reminder? Reunion mentions they send birthday reminders in the features section.

Reunion can be set to remind you of birthdays when the family file is opened by doing this...
1. Open the Reminders sidebar on the right by click on "Reminders" in the Sidebar listing on the left of the Reunion window...

...or by selecting "Reminders" from the sidebar on the right...

2. Then, click on the Reminders Settings icon (the gear) at the bottom of the Reminders sidebar...

...and adjust the settings to your liking. Be sure to check the box at the bottom to show reminders at startup.
3. Finally, click Update.
Afterward, Reunion will remind you of upcoming birthdays (or other events, based on your settings) upon opening the family file.
