Moving from LegacyFamilyTree to Reunion 13

Hi, mostly a lurker, but need some assistance now.
I work on a Mac for years now and I'm still using Reunion and LegacyFamilyTree simultaneously since.
I want to get rid of parallels desktop and Legacy app, but somewhat afraid to do it, because I get confused with all the available options when making a gedcom file. Which options I need for a perfect transfer to Reunion? I use English & Hebrew in the app.
I know it is a legacy issue, but I hope someone who made the transfer can help me.
    TIA, Keren

It will be a wild ride but well worth it and it won't be perfect. I converted from RootsMagic7 about a year ago and am glad I did. My suggestion is to create a Gedcom from Legacy and import it into Reunion and then look at Reunion to make sure everything is there. May be in odd places. If you use shared events in Legacy It may not transfer over properly. I changed the Gedcom File SOUR record to be Other and it brought it into Reunion better. All of your sources will be converted to free format. I don't have any experience except English so not sure about Hebrew.

If you have any specific questions let us know and maybe we can help. Reunion has some great options that helped me in my conversion.

    Good Luck

Thank you for the advice. I have shared events.

I think just doing it as RWells says is a great way to approach things. It gets the ball rolling and gives you a chance to learn in the process. I would suggest making a backup copy of your Reunion family file first, though, and use that for the first go-around. If things don't end up being as clean as you like, you can revert to your master copy with no harm done.
