same surname of deceased children in same family used for subsequent births

How to differentiate records for three different children in same family which repeated use of the same surname after the previous children died.

I think you are confusing GIVEN name and SURNAME.

Do you mean --- as an example --- child # 1 John Jones died then child # 2, born later, was also named John Jones who died and later child # 3 got the same name John Jones?

I have many instances like this in ancestor families in the 1700's and 1800's. I have not felt any need to differentiate as their birth and death dates easily explain the situation.
