Edit Results List

What is the magic way to edit the Results List? For some reason I can find the magic combinations. I create a list of everyone who has a blank death date and born before 1900. Then create a list. I want to change the death memo field so I change the list to show this field.

It worked once but I can't get it to allow editing now? I have the preference to allow editing of the list checked.

What is the magic way to edit the Results List?

For fields that can be edited (like the Death Memo field) click twice (but do not double-click) in the field you want to edit.
