Sources for Places?

Does anyone know how one might add a source to a place? I have sources about specific churches, cemeteries, and houses that do not belong to a specific person, or sometimes to any individual on a tree, and I'd like to see them when I go to a place. I see the Usage/Note/Geo buttons, and I put links into the Notes, but that's not as robust as actually attaching something from my list of sources.

It's not possible to link sources directly to places. You can link them to events that include those places, but not to the places themselves.

I would also really like a more robust treatment of Places in order to associate land records, photos, and the like with a particular location. This would be particularly helpful for places that have changed names over the years.
