How do I remove people from an Island?

I have two female entries (sisters) in an Island that I wish to remove. I know I should go to the parents card and delete from there but in this case they appear under a person, not connected, who is younger. Clicking on this younger person does not show them so I cannot drag either to the clipboard.
Anyone have suggestions. (I should add they were from a similar named family who since deleted, as it turned out, were not connected to my tree)

OK - found an answer. I linked both to the person as if they were his children - they weren't as he was younger than the two girls - then dragged them to the clipboard and deleted them there.
