unable to check for updates

Just bought a new MacBook Air, running Monterey Version 12.5.1. and have been able to access everything as normal emails etc on the Internet, except for Reunion.

I have Reunion 12 which is running fine on my older Mac. but on my new laptop keep getting the message "Unable to check for updates, please check your Internet connection and try again".

Can somebody please advise what I need to do to rectify this so that I'm able to use Reunion on my new laptop, Yvonne

This message is not coming from Reunion - it sounds like Monterey is confused about something.

Try dragging the Reunion 12 app to the Trash and then emptying the Trash.

Then restart your MacBook Air and download the Reunion 12 app again from here...

Install the Reunion 12 app and try to launch it again.

After following your instructions, I'm very pleased to tell you that I now have Reunion 12 working on my new computer, so thank you so much for your help, it's really appreciated. Would this be the best way to go to avoid any problems for a future new Mac purchase ?

It's probably not necessary. What you ran into is very rare and I think it's unique to Monterey.
