    Open with Word

I’ve created reports that are supposed open with Word. Since Reunion is for Mac users, I assume the app Word for Macintosh will work. However, this doesn’t work on my computer. I’m using Reunion 12. Any idea what’s going on?

Most likely, Reunion is pointing to a older version of Word for Mac for some reason.

To update the selection of word processors, please do the following:

Open your family file in Reunion and choose Reunion -> Preferences.

Then, click on Reports and select Word Processor from the list of Options on the left.

Next, click on Microsoft Word and select "Other..." from the menu that drops down.

Then, locate your current version of Microsoft Word in the window that opens.

Select it and click the Choose button at the bottom.

Finally, close the preferences window and try creating your report again.

I hope you find this information helpful

I suggest you look at LibreOffice for Mac as a replacement for out-dated versions of Word, Excel, etc. It'll save you money.

Using what is already there also will save money. It's called Pages!

True, Bob, but I've never like Pages as I used AppleWorks since 1984 until Apple killed it and replaced it with iWorks. AppleWorks was an integrated suite of 6 modules whereas iWorks is just an overall group name for 3 separate non-integrated programs. The major shortcoming of iWorks is the lack of a database module.
