    As Kevan said in another thread this morning, we learn something new every day. Been using Excel since version 1.0 and Lotus before that. Did not know about this 1900 thing. Just looked it up. It is related to the fact that Excel employs floating point logic for date calculation AND, yep, you guessed it: January 1, 1900, is set as "1" thus preventing earlier values.
