Incorrect Father Listed (Father was unknown)

A female had an illegitimate child (father's name known, but they never married). I listed the child under the mother as illegitimate and just made a notation as to the father's name in notes. Later the mother married and I added her husband's name. Now it shows the husband as being the illegitimate child's father, which it is not. The child is listed with the mother's maiden name. How do I correct? Thank you!

On the mother's side, select Add Spouse from the pull down menu. Create a new spouse with name "Unknown".
Go back to the family page. Move the child to the clipboard.
Go back to the family page with "Unknown". Move the child from the clipboard.
If you want, delete the "Unknown" person.
