I have a set of 3 generations of relatives that I've established based on DNA. I don't know where in my tree they will end up, so I want to purposefully create an island. Suggestions or a better way to do this?

You can use:

Edit -> Add Unrelated Person

To create these records. Despite the wording of the option, it will do what you need.
