Sharing a family file with a collaborator

A member of my wife's extended family (distant cousin) would like to be able to work on a branch of the tree that we don't care so much about. They would like to be able to access our primary file so that they can update and add information as it emerges, and be able to see any changes or additions that I may make. Is there a way to share a family file between collaborators so that both have access to the work that each person does on their own?

You could put the file in DropBox and then share the access details with your distant cousin.

You both wouldn't be able to work on it at the same time though - if someone tries to open it while the other person has it already open they'd get a warning, and a button to click that would close it for the person who has it open currently.

You'd need for your cousin to buy another copy of Reunion 12 too.

... and remember that by sharing your family file this way, they will have full access to your entire Reunion database, not just a branch. Two reasons I'd be careful about sharing this way ... 1) the other person could change things in any & all records that you might not want changed and 2) there may be sensitive information in your database that you wouldn't want to be exposed.
