    Searching for multimedia files - locks up program

    My Reunion 12 has picked up a nasty habit of searching for unlinked multimedia files ad infinitum. When it can't find a missing multimedia file it just sits and keeps looking giving me the constant "Searching for multimedia files..." message. I can't stop it and it locks up my program - won't let me do anything else. The only way I can stop it is to Force Quit Reunion. I need to know how to stop the program for its continual searching for files it will apparently never find.

    Please open the family file and go to:

    Reunion -> Preferences... , Multimedia

    And let me know what folders are listed under "Multimedia Search Folders".

    Thanks,

      At the present, nothing. I've added previously Reunion App Photos (contains photos) & Reunion App Clippings (contains newspaper clipping, censuses, documents, etc.). Those folders don't seem to stay in the list if places to look.

        I've put those two locations back into the "Multimedia Search Folders" location under Multimedia Preferences. Hopefully they'll stick.

          Let us know if the problem with searching for multimedia persists now that those locations are in the preferences.
