I create a new one or select existing and edit the criteria. While editing the selection of preset becomes deselected. Click back on it or any other existing preset and the criteria I just entered is gone. What am I doing wrong here?

Hi Mark,
To create a new preset, first set the conditions you want for the preset, then click the + button under the list of presets to create a new preset with the set conditions.
If you want to modify a preset, select it, then set the conditions that you want and click the + button to create a new preset with the new settings, then delete the old preset (if you don't want to keep the old preset).
For more details go to Find in the Navbar at left, click the ? at bottom-left of the window to open the manual page covering the Find function, then go to the section on "Saving and Editing Find Presets".
