Adding children outside of an existing marriage

I have a person in my tree who bore two children by different men before she married and bore a third. I've entered the marriage and the third child, but how do I add the 2 who were born out of wedlock before the marriage?

Try adding two fictitious husbands, then add their children, and then delete the husbands leaving the children with just their mother?

That would work, but you'll have to change the first two children's last names to whatever they use/used.

The children's fathers can be entered as Spouses and the Marriage status set to Unmarried.
