New family file and sources templates

I have created a new family file to explore a potential branch before adding it to my tree as I'm not 100% sure how they fit in yet. In my main family file I have all my source templates set up exactly how I like to use them, but my templates aren't available in the new family file. I've searched the tutorial for how to fix this, but I think I may be using incorrect search terms. I'm sure this feature must be possible, but I can't figure out how to do it.

How do I import my source templates from one family file to another?

    Cheers.Schedule

Open your current family file and choose File ------> Export ------> Reunion family file.

Choose no people, no sources, no multimedia and you'll end up with a file that has your source templates in it but no other data.

Extra info, just in case it helps anyone else. I had started adding a few names into a new database before I posted in here asking the question above. To avoid re-entering them all I exported a gedcom file from the family file I had started and imported it to the new family file I created using the help I received from Roger above. Hope this helps anyone stumbling on this in the future.Schedule

You could have also just imported the Reunion family file you'd started work on into the new one you created - no need for GEDCOM export/import.

Hi Roger, I just made a few more changes to my source templates, so I tried what you suggested and just imported it into the new family file, but the source templates did not carry across. Any ideas why it wouldn't have worked? (I'm testing it on a backup copy just in case i mess it up!)

            EDIT TO ADD:

I have just tried doing it the way I did before, bu exporting and importing a gedcom and this didn't work either, so something has gone wrong with my export of the data from the original family file. I have tried several different versions to test this theory and I can't get it to work the way I did the first time. Not sure what I'm doing wrong because the instructions you gave were perfectly fine the first time I did it.
