    Share event across people?

I'm finding some events that I'd like to attach to multiple people - 1913 Flood of Troy, New York or 1691 when Massachusetts Bay Colony merged with Plymouth Colony and became Province of Massachusetts Bay.

I've been entering them as a Residence event - which has the advantage of following chronological order. But I'm stuck entering it multiple times - once for each person that impacts - which for some events is hundreds of people.

How else might I handle this?

    Thanks for your suggestions!

Once you have created the event for the first person, and given it the relevant source, Save that person.

Then reopen that person, and click on the line of the event to highlight it.

Press Command C to copy that whole event and its attached source.

You can now go to other people and Command V to paste that event and its source to as man other people as you want to.

I forget off hand whether you have to highlight the event before or after where you want the new one to be listed, but try it and see.

You might also check out "General Sources" in the in-program manual (click on the "?" in bottom left of the program) (search General Sources without the quotes).

      Hope this helps,
