I am adopted and now know my birth mother's and father's names. How do I go about connecting my name to both my adoptive parents and my birth parents?

To add a second set of parents, you just add them in the usual way. (From a person's card, use the "+" sign menu above their button to "Add New Father..." and "Add New Mother...")

You can then mark the child as adopted on the appropriate card.

You can also choose which set of parents will be the "preferred" one. That's the set that will show up in reports and charts. It can be switched, so you can have both kinds of charts. But only one set of parents will show up on any one chart.
