Thanks, I have the same issue... one of my ancestors had a pretty interesting marital history. She married SIX times but only with three different gentlemen. Her first husband became her Fourth husband after #3 died. Her Second husband became her fifth... and finally after he passed #1 stepped in for a the 6th and final marriage.

I just took a cue from my old <cough> PC software which created a fact called Alt. Marriage that was imported in my gedcom. I then modified the fact as it was recorded and set the sentence structure to read "married again on date at place.
