Using Reunion 9 to produce a book

I have been collecting family data for many years on Reunion 9, I have extensive charts and have started written text on Word, I would like to produce a book for my grandchildren sometime this year and hope I don'thave to update to a later version,. Has anyone produced a book from Reunion 9 ?

Yes, many people have successfully created family history books using Reunion 9, even though it’s an older version, by exporting narrative reports and charts into Word or PDF format for editing and layout. Reunion 9 allows you to generate detailed descendant or ancestor reports, include photos and scanned documents, and export charts that can be incorporated into your manuscript. While its built-in design tools are basic, most users format and polish the content in Word, Pages, or a publishing tool like Blurb or InDesign. As long as your Mac supports Reunion 9, you don’t necessarily need to upgrade—just be sure to export your work now, including a GEDCOM backup, in case future macOS versions stop supporting the app. Many users found the best approach was to write family stories separately in Word and use Reunion-generated reports and charts as supporting material, which makes it easier to create a book that’s personal, visually rich, and suitable for printing and gifting to grandchildren.
