Descendant Chart with Preferred Pictures Crashes

I've been trying to make a Descendant Chart with "preferred pictures". I set it for 12 generations with a default layout. When I "create chart" it starts the process as normal, but stalls and that chart menus disappear. The chart is easily created when "preferred pictures" is not checked. Yes, I've been to the preferences and clicked "repair media locations". I get "No repair necessary. All multimedia links were validated."

Oddly, If I try to make a relative chart, with pictures, it seems to work just fine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm of course using Reunion 10.0.6, OS X 10.9.2, 3.4 GHz i7. 16 gigs of ram.
