    Double Dates (i.e., pre-1752)

Is there a way to avoid having to specify a custom sort date when you enter a double date, such as 6 January 1632/33, for an event? (Double dates were used until 1752 for dates falling between January 1 and March 25.) I find it hard to believe that you cannot specify that the second element of the year in such a double date is the one to be sorted on. But I cannot find any way to specify this in preferences.

I wish you could but I don't think there's a way to do it. My work round is to use the 'modern' date - 6 Jan 1633 in your example - and in the memo field note that the actual date is 1632/33. This makes it easy to calculate ages.

You can specify this, you just have to do it for each date rather than globally.
