    Web Surname Index with Dates

In the database for my wife's family, she often has quite a number of people with the same name (16th and 17th century Germans weren't very imaginative or original with naming). When posting on the web, this results in a surname index with long sections of like named people, and no good way to tell them apart, other than her code of eg. Johann Georg (1) Roller, Johann Georg (2) Roller, Johann Georg (3) Roller etc. Is there some way to get the web index to include birth dates, where available, in order to give some differentiation? I looked around in the manual and the commands for creating the web family group sheets but couldn't find anything (Reunion 9). Thanks.

    Yes.

Open your family file and choose Reunion -> Preferences.

    Then, click on Reports.

In the Report Preferences window, select Index in the left column.

Finally, check the "Show (birth-death) years" box.

After closing the preferences window, create your web report. (The birth-death years should be shown in the Index.)

I hope you find this information helpful:-)
